I love creating a space where every element coincides perfectly creating a beauty bubble inside of which prettiness reigns. More often than not, that synergy comes along when its just the photographer, the model and myself. (This equation is further heightened if everyone on the team has XX chromosomes).

Conceptually, what we wanted and was going for was lightly traced out from the beginning but halfway through, it veered off into its own special dreamland and beautiful was created...Sometimes the best things happen that way...

Tilling Weeds in the Beauty Beauty Garden

I know, I know...It's been a while. I think the last hiatus I took from blogging was the Presidential Inauguration. Here's a photo montage to explain my absence this time. I've been nonstop shooting for the past 16 days straight and survived on about 4 hours of sleep a night...I think it goes without saying that this work schedule did not permit me to tend to this blog the way I normally do...Sorry about the weeds that temporarily grew in the Beauty Beauty Garden...I hope it doesn't happen again, but sadly it may; Fashion Week is literally right around the corner...

Hybrid Theory...

Cross Audrey Marnay with Nadja Auermann and sprinkle in a bit of Maggie Rizer (but with the ability to be edgier and sexier) and you've got the beauty Colleen below. I'm loving her bone structure with those wide eyes and high cheekbones, and I ADORE her freckles. She's strong and delicate at the same time. We actually cast her because of her freckles. And man, can she pose...I'm honored to be putting some of her very first beauty images in her book...
